The compliant material has a modulus of elasticity of between about 1 MPa and about 10,000 MPa, and the second layer has a modulus of elasticity between about 10,000 and about 210,000 MPa. The first layer provides compliance and the second layer provides impact resistance to inhibit wear of the wheel thereby minimizing production of metallic contaminants.
