    • PURPOSE:To improve remarkably the operability by obtaining desired function through a single operation and executing the changeover from any of at least two functions into other function through the single operation. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette half is loaded to a tape deck 7 at first, a loading detection switch 21 supplies the 1st operation command signal to a tape power supply 24, a power voltage is fed to the tape deck 7 to attain tape reproducing state. In operating an eject key, an eject detection tuner 22 applies the 1st stop command signal to a tape power supply 24 to stop the tape deck 7. In operating the tuner switch 23 next, a power upply command is fed to the tuner power supply 25, an FM tuner section 9 becomes in the FM broadcast reception state. In operating the AM switch 4 to the FM broadcast reception state, an AM reception command signal is fed to the tuner power supply 25 from a control circuit 10 to stop the supply of the power voltage to the FM tuner 9 and the power is fed to the AM tuner 8 to attain the AM broadcast reception state.

    • A motor vehicle broadcast receiver is specified which contains: a first memory for recording received field strength information in accordance with the received field strength determined from a broadcast transmitter currently received when a traffic announcement/programme identification detector circuit outputs a PI signal which identifies a broadcast station sending out traffic programmes or a TA signal which identifies the current sending-out of a traffic announcement; and a second memory for recording received frequency information at the time at which the first memory records the received field strength information. The first and second memory are set up in such a manner that the received field strength information which is recorded in the first memory is compared with a subsequently determined received field strength information in order to overwrite the content of the first memory with the new received field strength information when the latter represents a higher field strength level than the received field strength information previously stored in the first memory. At the same time as the content of the first memory is overwritten, the frequency information contained in the second memory is overwritten with the new frequency information allocated to the higher received field strength so that the broadcast receiver is automatically set to a traffic programme transmitter which generates the highest received field strength at the location of reception.

    • PURPOSE:To always attain the restriction of continuous focusing operation by detecting no output of a lock-in signal also after the passage of prescribed time and clearing the contents of a detecting signal counting counter to be transferred to a stop mode in accordance with a disk inject or stop command. CONSTITUTION:When an optical pickup 14 is defocused, focusing operation for feedback control is started through a focus servo circuit 28 or the like and a lock-in signal is supplied from a circuit 29 to a CPU 20 in accordance with leading-in of focus servo. When the CPU 20 detects no generation of the lock-in signal within a prescribed time, a counter built in the CPU 20 counts up the detection signals, and when the count value reaches a prescribed value, the CPU 20 transfers the operation to the stop mode. If a disk inject or stop command is applied through an operation key group 5, the CPU 20 clears the contents of the built-in counter and prepares the succeeding operation processing. Consequently, continuous focusing operation more than the prescribed number of times is always restricted and the pickup is prevented from heating or the like through the focusing actuator.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the continuous supply of starting current to a focus actuator by counting up the number of times of no generation of a lock-in signal within a prescribed time and transferring operation to a stop mode. CONSTITUTION:An optically read reproduced signal of information on a disk 3 by a pickup 14 is supplied to a CPU 20 through a signal processing circuit 25 or the like, and at the time of out-of-focusing, focusing operation of the pickup 14 is started through a focus servo circuit 28 and a lock-in signal is supplied at the leading-in of the focus servo. If the lock-in signal is not supplied after the passage of prescribed time from the start of focus servo, the CPU 20 detects the status and allows a built-in counter to count up the number of times of detection. When the count value of the counter reaches a prescribed value, the CPU 20 specifies a stop mode. In an on vehicle disk player which may easily generate defocusing, the number of times of focusing operation is restricted, the continuous supply of starting current to the focus actuator is suppressed and the pickup is prevented from heat generation.
