摘要： A method of indexing data in a multidimensional database includes creating a multidimensional logical access model, creating a multidimensional data storage model in which data is located in cells that are stored and retrieved in blocks, gathering data access information derived from one or more user queries of the database, and reorganizing one or more selected cells in the multidimensional data storage model based on the data access information to reduce the time taken to access the one or more selected cells in response to a user query of the database. A computerized apparatus in communication with a multidimensional database includes a program to perform the method. A computer readable medium contains instructions to cause a computer to perform the method.

摘要： A method of managing cells formed from a tuple of members in a multidimensional database include treating at least one dimension in the database as a plurality of hierarchically structured members divided into at least two levels, thereby defining a validation curve as the location of an intersection of the levels. What level the cells in the database are located is evaluated. Cells contained in a lower level are managed by automatically indicating them as one of valid and invalid at data load time, and cells contained in an upper level are managed by indicating them as one of valid and invalid according to a method involving at least one of less reading from and writing to the database at data load time than if all the cells in the upper level were indicated as one of valid and invalid at data load time. A computerized database management system uses a communication interface to practice the method.

摘要： A multistory apartment building complex may comprise vertically stacked modules and includes one or more vehicle parking levels grade and one or more dwelling unit levels vertically stacked above the vehicle parking levels. At least one of the parking levels includes private garages for at least selected ones of the dwelling units and occupants of the selected dwelling units may move between their own garage and their dwelling unit via an elevator extending directly to the individual dwelling units on each level. The elevators may also serve plural dwelling units on each dwelling unit level. A service corridor is provided on selected dwelling unit levels which may be accessed by a service elevator or spaced apart stairways to provide secondary access between each dwelling unit on each dwelling unit level and street level. Each dwelling unit may include a small service room having a lockable door between the service room and the dwelling unit and a door opening to the service corridor.
