In the first stage, dilute hydrogen peroxide solutions are prepared from the elements hydrogen and oxygen and are reacted in a subsequent liquid-phase epoxidation with olefin in the presence of titanium silicalite to form epoxidised olefins, and the solvents are returned to the H2O2 process again.

摘要： Flexible polyurethane foams having increased compression hardness are produced by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with a mixture of polyols in the presence of a blowing agent and optionally known additives such as catalysts, emulsifiers, etc. The mixture of polyols is (1) 75-95 wt % polyether polyol with terminal OH groups having a functionality of from 2 to 4 and an OH number of from 25 to 60 and (2) 5-25 wt % polyether polyol having a functionality of at least six and an OH number of from 150 to 200 which is the reaction product of an alcohol having a functionality of at least six and propylene oxide which has been modified to contain 5-50 wt % terminal ethylene oxide groups. These foams are useful in furniture applications.

摘要： This invention relates to a process for the recovery of adipic acid from mother liquors collected during commercial production of adipic acid, wherein said mother liquors contain from 52 to 60% by weight of nitric acid calculated as HNO.sub.3, not taking into account the organic constituents, from 2 to 6% by weight of succinic acid, from 4 to 9% by weight of glutaric acid, and from 5 to 10% by weight of adipic acid, by selective crystallization of the adipic acid dissolved in said mother liquors by(a) adding an aqueous adipic acid solution having an adipic acid content of from 0.5 to 6% by weight to said mother liquor in the temperature range of from 30.degree. to 60.degree. C. in such a quantity that the concentration of nitric acid in the mixture is reduced to 35 to 50% by weight;(b) cooling the mixture by at least 5 degrees Celsius within a period of from 0.5 to 5 hours to induce crystallization of the adipic acid;(c) isolating the crystallized adipic acid by filtration; and(d) transferring the filtrate obtained in step (c) to a distillation apparatus for distillative workup of the glutaric acid contained therein.
