摘要： An apparatus for reheating and conditioning an elongate preform for forming a blow molded container, said apparatus comprising: a receiver including an elongate annular non-cylindrical inner surface portion, wherein the surface portion defines a cavity and is adapted to engage with an elongate outer surface of an elongate preform to transfer heat thereto by conduction from said surface portion, wherein the surface portion includes a three-dimensional relief to provide substantially non-uniform contact between the receiver and the elongate preform; and means for heating said receiver.

摘要： The cylinder head (8) of an injection molding machine has a transverse bore (20), in which is threadedly engaged a gas introduction device (21) connected to a gas bottle (22), having a pressure regulator (23). The device has a body (24) which carries a valve poppet (25) in a complementarily shaped bore (26) opening to the passage through the cylinder head. A spring (27) normally closes the poppet valve. A control valve (28), under control of the system (7) is provided upstream of the poppet valve. Gas is introduced into the injection chamber of the machine after suck back and before screw rotate for feeding plastics material to the injection chamber. On injection, the material is injected with the gas added to it.

摘要： A mold, a molding machine and a method of molding a plastics material in a mold cavity is described which relies primarily on movement of a part of the mold to provide the pressure necessary to force the plastics material melt to fill all the parts of the mold cavity. The method comprises the steps of applying a light pressure to close the mold, injecting a predetermined quantity of molten plastics material into the mold cavity at a pressure which is such that the injection of the plastics material can cause the cavity to expand in volume against the resistance of the light closing pressure, and applying a high pressure to close the mold fully after completion of the injection step.
