摘要： A binaural healing system includes a left-ear hearing device, a right-ear hearing device and an auxiliary device. The auxiliary device has a connected mode wherein it transmits data messages and a disconnected mode wherein it does not transmit data messages, and the auxiliary device is adapted to enable the connected mode in dependence on receiving beacon messages, to synchronize its transmission of data messages with received beacon messages and to enable the disconnected mode in dependence on not receiving beacon messages. To avoid disconnection of the auxiliary device S during gaps, the left-ear hearing device and the right-ear hearing device are adapted to alternatingly transmit the beacon messages.

摘要： A wireless binaural hearing system comprises a left-ear hearing device, a right-ear hearing device and auxiliary devices. The devices communicate via radio signals. Each device comprises a radio transmitter transmitting messages, each hearing device comprises a radio receiver receiving messages, the auxiliary device is adapted to transmit application messages, and the hearing devices are adapted to receive application messages. The quality of wireless communication varies when the user moves his head, which may lead to temporal gaps in communication. Such gaps may cause annoying pauses and/or delays in audio signals presented to the user, and the hearing devices may become temporarily unsynchronised. To avoid such gaps and improve reliability of the communication, without increasing the radio signal power, a first hearing device relays received application messages to a second hearing device in dependence on network messages received from the second hearing device indicating whether application messages were correctly received.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for estimating the channel state of each link in a wireless relay network having fixed RSs are provided. A source estimates a channel of a source-RS link and a channel of a source-destination link using pilot signals received from an Relay Station (RS) and a destination and the source monitors reception of a pilot signal including channel state information of an RS-destination link from the RS. Upon receipt of the pilot signal, the source estimates a channel of the RS-destination link using the pilot signal and the channel state information of the RS-destination link.

摘要： A subcarrier assignment apparatus and a subcarrier assignment method, in which each of a plurality of Base Stations (BSs) constituting an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) communication system provides services in the capacity of a serving BS to Mobile Stations (MSs). Channel quality information for the respective MSs are fed-back from the respective BSs. Subcarriers are assigned to the respective MSs according to a corresponding scheduling scheme in consideration of the channel quality information for the respective MSs, which are fed-back from the respective BSs, and then BSs which manage the subcarriers assigned to the respective MSs according to the corresponding scheduling scheme are selected. These operations provide site diversity to each of the MSs, and thus system capacity is maximized.
