摘要： An in-line motor and pump assembly is supported at the bottom of a fuel storage tank by a pipe and an internal concentric conduit for housing electrical conductors extending therewithin to the motor. An impeller, coaxial with the rotor of the motor, draws the fuel into an annular passageway surrounding the stator of the motor. Further passageways convey the fuel to an annular passageway defined between the pipe and the conduit for discharge external of the storage tank. A low pressure environment attendant the inflow of the fuel is used to channel fuel for lubrication and cooling purposes to a lower journal bearing and thrust bearing supporting a common shaft for the impeller and the motor. A high pressure environment attendant outflow of fuel is used to channel fuel for lubrication and cooling purposes to a journal bearing supporting the upper end of the shaft.

摘要： A system to maintain an inert ullage in a hydrocarbon tank. The system provides for outgassing/venting of ullage gases when a high pressure event is found within the tank. Further, when a low pressure event occurs, during fuel discharge or based on ambient conditions, a source of inert gas, such as nitrogen) supplies gas on-demand to the hydrocarbon tank via a pressure regulator (preferably along the venting system) to maintain both the pressure and inerting of the ullage. A method for maintaining the inert ullage is also provided, whereby a low pressure event triggers a supply of inert gas into the tank.

摘要： A hydrocarbon tank system environment corrosion inhibitor includes use of inert gas, preferably Nitrogen, to blanket ullage and interstice through the tank system. Blanket gas is provided via controller into coupling to access ullage. Blanket gas is provided upon fueling events to stabilize the pressure in the system and prevent entry of atmospheric air and water (vapor). Blanket gas may be continuously run into the ullage and/or other spaces in tank system. A controlled system allows for monitoring of pressures in the tank, and thereby identifies pressure events and even leaks in system due to unusual events, or general loss of pressure.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide techniques for protecting a user from being followed by an avatar within an immersive virtual environment. To detect a following avatar, any avatars within a specified range of the user may be identified. Historical data may then be examined to determine if any of the identified avatars has been in the same recent virtual locations as the user. In order to rule out coincidental movements, the likelihood of both avatars being in the same places at the same time may be evaluated. Further, the following avatar may be tested by transporting the user to another location, and then monitoring to determine whether the following avatar also transports to the same location. Upon confirming that the following avatar is actually following the user, avoidance actions may be performed in order to avoid the following avatar.

摘要： A method for displaying an instant message within a text box visible to a first avatar in a virtual world is disclosed. The instant message is sent from a second avatar to a third avatar. The method includes determining a distance within the virtual world between the first avatar and at least one of the second avatar and the third avatar, assigning a distance reduction factor to a word of the instant message based upon context of the word, and multiplying the distance by the distance reduction factor to thereby define a logical distance of the word. The logical distance is compared to a threshold value and a display option is selected for the word based upon the comparison. The instant message is displayed within the text box with the word having the selected display option.

摘要： An underground storage tank maintenance system includes a system of monitors to determine pressure and humidity in the system. Inert gas may be supplied into the ullage of the tank. The inert gas may first pass through an interstitial space as between the primary storage and secondary containment, and then passed into ullage to capture contaminants on the way out of the vent to atmosphere. The system and method prevent hydrocarbons exiting to atmosphere. Humidity sensors may be set along vent to determine water contamination and trigger drying cycles. Pressure readings help identify system leaks.

摘要： A hydrocarbon dispensation line pressure sensor adapted to work without requirement of a separate closed valve. The system closes the dispensation line upstream via an isolation valve. The pressure can be sensed from the dispensation line through the valve to provide dispensation line pressure. A channel in fluid communication with the dispensation line may be provided to allow pressure measurement apart from the main dispensation line. Further, a method for measuring the pressure drop profile of a dispensation line and various methods to determine the pressure loss due to leaks in dispensation line.
