    • A pad (20) is particularly suited for separating or restraining cargo and includes a top sheet surface (21) having longitudinally extending spaced ribs (27) forming a plurality of recesses (28) therebetween. A pattern of lugs (31) is formed in the recesses (28). The pad (20) also includes a bottom sheet surface (22) having longitudinally extending spaced ribs (29) forming a plurality of recesses (30) therebetween. A pattern of notches (32) is formed in the ribs (29), and the pad (20) may nest with a like pad (20) by placing the lugs (31) in the notches (32). The pads (20) may stack to form a thicker pad by positioning the ribs (27) of one pad (20) in the recesses (28) of a like pad (20). A flange (33) extends outwardly from one of the edges of the sheet surface (21) which assists in preventing the pad (20) from sliding when in use.

    • An improved brake mechanism is disclosed for use on an agricultural bag loading apparatus (10) having a pair of cable drums (20, 21) secured to the loading apparatus for deploying cables (18, 19) attached to the filled end of an agricultural bag (12). The brake mechanism comprises a disc brake rotor (23) rigidly secured to one end of a brake drum (20), a plurality of disc brake calipers (25) secured to the loading apparatus (10) and a hydraulic fluid pressurizer (29). Braking action between the rotor (23) and the calipers (25) permits control of the compression of the material packed within the agricultural bag (12).

    • A reflector assembly for fabricating as part of an original light fixture or for retrofitting a light fixture in the field. First (36) and second (52) reflector structures are formed with seams (38,58) about which the various reflector surfaces can be rotated for adjustment with respect to a fluorescent tube (30). A flap (62) and tape strip (74) are accessible through doors (76) for securing the reflectors in the fixture housing (24). A third reflector (178) can also be installed. A composite reflector (188) is formed by joining the respective reflectors with two additional sections (218, 228). The preferable reflector material is cardboard over which is formed a specular surface. For hallways, a reflector structure (240) is formed for mounting reflector surfaces (250) perpendicular to the longitudinal centerline (252) of housing and tube. The foregoing reference numbers in parentheses are provided solely to facilitate quick comprehension; these numbers are not to be used for interpreting the breadth of the Invention defined by the Claims.

    • An adjustable specular reflector adapted for use in existing fluorescent lighting fixtures includes a plurality of facets extending longitudinally and hingedly joined together. The reflector may be formed of a form-retaining cardboard web having a highly reflective material adhered to one side, with longitudinal score lines defining the hinge portions between adjacent facets. A malleable wire or strip is secured to each end of the web, so that the facets may be oriented in a desired focussing relationship and will remain in the field-configured orientation. A rigid channel member is secured to opposed, longitudinally extending edges of the web to maintain planarity of the reflector facets. Self-adhesive patches are secured to the non-reflector side of the web, so that the reflector may be installed in virtually any fluorescent fixture.
