摘要： A network system is proposed comprising a first network control element in a visited network, a second network control element in a home network and a communication device (UE) associated to a subscriber, wherein the first network control element is adapted to perform a first authentication (A9) of a roaming subscriber requesting authentication, and the second network control element is adapted to perform a second authentication (A11) of the same subscriber. By this measure, both network control elements are able to verify that the authentication was performed correctly. Also a corresponding method is proposed.

摘要： The invention is directed to a method for checking the integrity of messages between a mobile station and the cellular network. Two time-varying parameters are used in MAC calculation, one of which is generated by the mobile station, and the other by the network. The parameter specified by the network is used in one session only, and is transmitted to the mobile station in the beginning of the connection. The parameter specified by the mobile station is stored in the mobile station between connections in order to allow the mobile station to use a different parameter in the next connection. The parameter specified by the mobile station is transmitted to the network in the beginning of the connection.

摘要： A method for indicating a mobile station's (MS) location. A first radio network controller, RNC, acts as the mobile station's serving RNC (SRNC), for reporting the mobile station's location to the core network (CN). A second RNC acts as the mobile station's drift RNC (DRNC), for maintaining a radio connection with the mobile station. In response to fulfillment of at least one criterion in a first set of criteria, the mobile station (MS) sends location information about its location to the second RNC (DRNC) which forwards the location information to the first RNC (SRNC) for reporting to the core network (CN). There is also a second set of criteria for transforming the location information. In response to fulfillment of at least one criterion in the second set, the first RNC (SRNC) sends falsified information about the mobile station's location to the core network (CN).

If an RRC connection is already active, explicit signaling is used. Otherwise, RRC level events can be used to implicitly control MM level events. During releasing of MM connections, it is checked if another MM protocol uses RRC connections, and if that is the case, the releasing of MM connections is signaled explicitly.
