摘要： A method for manufacturing coal agglomerates for use in a direct smelting reducing furnace is disclosed, in which a fine coal is agglomerated at a high temperature in a simple manner, or anthracite or low free swelling coal having a low free swelling index is mixed with the fine coal, and the mixture is agglomerated at a high temperature, thereby turning the low quality coal to useful purpose. The present invention is characterized in that a fine coal having a free swelling index of 3.0 or more and a particle size of 8 mm or less, or the fine coal mixed with 70 weight % of anthracite or a low free swelling coal, is maintained at 600 DEG C or over for 5 minutes or more, thereby manufacturing coal agglomerates for use in a direct smelting reducing furnace.

摘要： An apparatus for manufacturing molten iron by using a calcination furnace (20), and a manufacturing method therefor are disclosed. A high temperature reducing gas (1000 to 1100 DEG C) from a melter gasifier (5) is used as a calcination heat in a calcination furnace (20) so as to cool the high temperature reducing gas to the optimum reduction temperature (800 to 850 DEG C), and so as to supply the cooled reducing gas to a shaft furnace (2), whereby the manufacture of the molten iron can be efficiently carried out, and a high thermal efficiency is realized even without a separate gas cooling device (11). Therefore, a separate cooling device (11) for cooling the hot reducing gas of the melter gasifier (5) is not required. Further, the hot reducing gas is naturally cooled at the calcination furnace (20), and therefore, the thermal efficiency of the hot reducing gas of the melter gasifier (5) is maximized. Further, a separate water-using cooler (11) and a separate compressor (12) are omitted, and therefore, the molten iron manufacturing facility is simplified.

摘要： A smelting reduction apparatus and a method for producing molten pig iron are disclosed. Iron ore, sintered or pelletised iron are used, so that the discharge operation from a pre-reducing furnace (12) to a melter-gasifier (11) would not give any influence to the operation of the pre-reducing furnace (12). The apparatus consists of a pre-reducing furnace (12), a melter-gasifier (11), an ascending duct (13) for supplying the off-gas of the melter-gasifier (11) as a reducing gas to the pre-reducing furnace (12) via a cyclone (14), and a recycling duct (14a, 15a) for the fine ore separated at said cyclone (14) to be spouted through a melter-burner (16) into the melter-gasifier (11). A part of the reducing off-gas which has passed through said cyclone (14) is supplied through a ventury scrubber (17), a compressor (18) and a compressed gas circulating duct (19) into the ascending duct (13). In such an apparatus, a reduced iron discharge device (222) is installed between the pre-reducing furnace (12) and the melter-gasifier (11).

摘要： Disclosed is a method for increasing the charring ratio of coal. In manufacturing an ingot iron using the coal, magnesium oxide or limestone is used as an additive for charring the coal. The additive increases the charring ratio of the coal while giving no affection onto slag. An MgO suspension or limestone suspension is mixed with the coal and thus obtained mixture is dried to attach MgO or the limestone onto the surface of the coal. The charring effect is increased and the using amount of coke can be reduced.

摘要： Disclosed are an apparatus for keeping an optimal penetration depth formed at the front end of an oxygen tuyere in the producing facilities of molten pig iron utilizing non-coking coal and a method for keeping the same. A laser (2) as a sensor for measuring the penetration depth is provided, connected to a computer (3) for comparing the received signal with a predetermined optimal value. The pressure in a melter gasifier (11) is controlled dependent upon the penetration depth by changing the opening of a scrubber cone (4). The method can actively cope with the change. Thus the penetration depth can be optimally kept of the volumetric flow rate of the oxygen and the change of the oxygen flow rate and the constituting material in a coal packed bed and the applied pressure in the melter gasifier (11) to control the blowing velocity of the oxygen.
