    • A process for manufacturing elastomeric components of a tyre (3) for vehicle wheels comprising the steps of: feeding a continuous elongated element (20) from a delivery member (19) for application of said elongated element (20) onto a building support (18), by exerting a feeding pressure inside said delivery member (19); giving the support (18) a rotatory motion around a geometrical rotation axis (X-X) thereof, so that the elongated element (20) is circumferentially distributed on the support (18); carrying out controlled relative displacements for transverse distribution between said support (18) and delivery member (19) to form a tyre (3) component (9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) with said elongated element (20) which is defined by a plurality of coils (20a) laid in a preestablished deposition pattern depending on a predetermined cross-section outline to be given to said component (9, 12, 13, 14, 20 15, 16, 17); stopping said step of feeding said elongated element (20) when formation of said component (9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) has been completed; exerting a counter-pressure inside said delivery member (19).

    • A wheel having a controlled pressure comprises: a rim (2) associated with a tank (4) adapted to be filled with a fluid to a first pressure; a tyre (3) mounted on said rim (2) and having an inner volume (3') inflated to an operating pressure at a reference temperature, said operating pressure being lower than said first pressure; at least one valve assembly (5) adapted to establish a communication between said tank (4), the inner volume (3') of said tyre (3) and the external environment; said valve assembly (5) comprising a command valve (8), an exhaust valve (9) and a compensation valve (10) operatively associated with each other; wherein: said command valve (8) controls communication between said tank (4) and said inner volume (3') of the tyre (3); said exhaust valve (9) is connected to the external environment, to said inner volume (3'), to said command valve (8) and compensation valve (10) ; said compensation valve (10) is connected to said exhaust valve (9) and said command valve (8) ; wherein said command valve (8) comprises an inner chamber (27) connected with said exhaust valve (9) and said compensation valve (10) , in such a manner that said command valve (8) is operated by said exhaust valve (9) and said compensation valve (10) through a pressure variation of said inner chamber (27) in response to a variation of the inner pressure of the tyre.

    • It is disclosed a method and an apparatus for moulding and curing a tyre for vehicle wheels, said method comprising the steps of : building a green tyre on a toroidal support (10) having an outer surface the shape of which substantially matches that of an inter surface of said green tyre; placing said green tyre carried by said toroidal support (10) into a moulding cavity (104) defined in a vulcanization mould (102), said moulding cavity (104) having walls conforming in shape to an outer surface of said tyre when vulcanization has been completed; pressing an outer surface of said green tyre against the walls of said moulding cavity (104) by means of a working fluid under pressure flowing in at least one diffusion gap between said outer surface of said toroidal support (10) and said inner surface of said green tyre; heating said working fluid under pressure so as to supply heat to said green tyre in order to enable vulcanization of same, wherein said working fluid under pressure in contact with said green tyre is submitted to circulation.
