    • A wheel having a controlled pressure comprises: a rim (2) associated with a tank (4) adapted to be filled with a fluid to a first pressure; a tyre (3) mounted on said rim (2) and having an inner volume (3') inflated to an operating pressure at a reference temperature, said operating pressure being lower than said first pressure; at least one valve assembly (5) adapted to establish a communication between said tank (4), the inner volume (3') of said tyre (3) and the external environment; said valve assembly (5) comprising a command valve (8), an exhaust valve (9) and a compensation valve (10) operatively associated with each other; wherein: said command valve (8) controls communication between said tank (4) and said inner volume (3') of the tyre (3); said exhaust valve (9) is connected to the external environment, to said inner volume (3'), to said command valve (8) and compensation valve (10) ; said compensation valve (10) is connected to said exhaust valve (9) and said command valve (8) ; wherein said command valve (8) comprises an inner chamber (27) connected with said exhaust valve (9) and said compensation valve (10) , in such a manner that said command valve (8) is operated by said exhaust valve (9) and said compensation valve (10) through a pressure variation of said inner chamber (27) in response to a variation of the inner pressure of the tyre.

    • A carcass ply (3) is built on a forming drum (11) by application of a plurality of strip-like elements (13), through the steps of : setting a width of these strip- like elements (13), setting a width of the overlapped part S between two adjacent strip-like elements (13), setting a fitting diameter of the forming drum (11) by calculating a corresponding extension of a radially external laying surface (14), calculating a whole number (n) of strip-like elements (13) to be applied. The whole number (n) of strip-like elements (13) is applied by rotating the forming drum (11) around a geometric rotation axis (X-X) thereof, and applying pairs of strip-like elements (13) by means of a first laying unit (18) and a second laying unit (19) located close to opposite portions of the forming drum (11) relative to the geometric rotation axis (X-X). When the calculated whole number (n) of strip-like elements (13) is an odd number, before at least one application step, the first laying unit (18) is shifted along an adjustment path (C-C) orthogonal to the geometric rotation axis (X-X) and substantially tangent to the radially external laying surface (14) of the forming drum (11).
