    • Process for switching out signals from at least one subdomain of the supplementary signals and for switching signals into at least one subdomain of the supplementary signals of transmission modules of a synchronous digital-signal hierarchy according to CCITT draft recommendations G.70X, G.70Y and G.70Z. This is achieved, for switching out, in that in a demultiplex and expanding device (1a), a subdomain of the supplementary signals is switched out of the transmission module (STM-4) and is expanded over a time interval within the frame. The expanded signal is, for example, separated into the supplementary signals (TB-STM-1) of the chosen subdomain, which are allocated to the transmission modules (STM-4) of the lowest hierarchical level of the transmission module. For switching in, the stages of the process are followed in reverse order and in the opposite sense. Said supplementary signals (TB-STM-1) are fed into the lines (L1-L4) of the bus (B). The pilot signals (T) generated in the demultiplex and expanding devices (1a) or externally entered are transmitted in a sub-bus (SL). After addresses (A) have been added, bytes (D) or byte groups (D) can be taken from the bus (B) and further processed through customer interfaces (2a, 3a). A selection arrangement comprises a first field correlator (21), in which equivalent pixels of consecutive fields are compared, and a second field correlator (22), in which the same pixels of one of these fields are compared with the equivalent pixels of the adjacent line of the same pixels of another of these fields. In a signal-inversion stage (20), an inverted signal is derived from signals supplied by the field correlators (21, 22) and constituting a measure of the movements between the successive fields (A, B) of a television picture. In an inversion stage (15), an output signal in the form of a linear combination of signals assigned by the signal-processing branches (7, 8) is derived from the inverted signal.

    • The method is for transmitting radio data system signals accompanying a programme in groups of an extended other network type. The RDS data comprises first to fourth blocks, the first block carrying the programme identification code (PI(TN)) of the programme. The second block carries a group type code (GT) identifying the extended other network type as well as a multiple variant usage code (UC) identifying which of a selection of items of information is carried in the third block. These items of information pertain to the other networks programme identified in the fourth block by its programme identification code (PI(ON)). The programme identification codes comprise a country code, an area coverage code and a programme reference code. One usage code (UC) in the second block identifies a transmission of a linkage word (12) in the third block carrying information related to the programme identification code of the programme or programmes to be linked to the programme identified in the fourth block.
