摘要： A small electric machine, such as a motor or a tachogenerator, which employs a commutator and a brush assembly, in which the undesirable vibrations of the brushes with respect to the commutator are damped by damping means. The preferred damping means comprises amounts of a plastic deformable putty-like damping material, for example on the basis of polyvinylacetate. This material is provided at the locations of the brushes. The damping material adheres both to the brush and to the fixed parts of the machine. To reduce contact noise, plate-shaped brushes having leaf-spring-like brush elements preferably are formed with long parts which are in contact with the damping material. This may be effected with little loss of space by connecting the leaf springs to a brush support via parts which extend on both sides of the leaf springs parallel therewith.

In a preferred embodiment, the alloy comprises 70 + OR - 1 percent of gold, 20 + OR - 1 percent of silver, 10 + OR - 1 percent of copper, and an impurity content in the form of other metals which is at most 0.05 percent.

摘要： A flat commutator structure having commutator segments which are made by stamping from sheet material and at their ends facing the shaft are anchored in a hub made of a synthetic material by injection moulding. To increase the flatness of the commutator face the commutator segments are also interconnected by anchoring elements near the outer periphery of the commutator. Both the hub and the latter anchoring elements may form parts of a single commutator support made from a synthetic material by injection moulding and preferably have open chambers into which the grooves separating the commutator segments terminate.
