摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent hydrogen from being dissipated to the atmosphere as hydrogen is unreactive by stopping electricity supplied from a power source for electrolysis when the temp. of a catalyst is deviated from a prescribed range in the case of converting hydrogen generated in a cathode into steam by the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic cell 1 of water, electricity is supplied to an anode 5 and a cathode 6 from a power source 7 for electrolysis. Oxygen and ozone are produced in an anodic chamber 3 and hydrogen is produced in a cathodic chamber 4 by electrolyzing a diluted sulfuric acid aq. soln. This generated hydrogen is introduced into a catalyst housing part 11 with a hydrogen catalyst 10 housed thereinto, burned and converted into steam and this steam is dissipated to the atmosphere. At this time, the temp. of the housing part 11 is continuously measured by a temp. sensor 12. When the measured temp. is deviated from a range of the previously set allowable temp. (about 100-500 deg.C), the power source 7 is turned off by the temp. sensor 12 and a controller 15 via a signal cable 13. Electrolysis is stopped and electricity is changed over to a protective electrode 14 provided thereto and fine current is allowed to flow. Thereby hydrogen is prevented form being dissipated to the atmosphere as hydrogen is unreactive and thereby danger such as explosion is avoided.

摘要： PURPOSE:To miniaturize a DC power source circuit and to reduce the number of circuit elements by connecting a secondary battery having a voltage lower than the rectifier voltage in parallel with a rectifier, charging the battery, and applying a current to an electrolytic cell. CONSTITUTION:A transformer TR, the rectifier 1 for rectifying the AC current from the transformer TR, and the output-side electrolytic cell 2 to be actuated by the rectified DC current are provided in the DC power source circuit. The secondary battery BT having a voltage lower than the rectifier voltage is connected in parallel with the rectifier 1. The secondary battery BT is charged by the voltage of the rectifier 1, and a current is applied to the electrolytic cell 2. A reference diode is connected in series with the rectifier and secondary battery. By this system, the circuit is miniaturized, and the number of circuit elements is reduced.
