    • A problem to be solved by the present invention resides in that when an entire circumferential image is panoramically expanded and displayed on a display, the image needs to be divided into two or more stages, and an object of interest is cut by dividing the image.
      There is provided a panoramic image display device which divides a panoramic expansion image into at least two panoramic images and displays the panoramic images, the panoramic expansion image display device including: a clipping reference position setting unit that sets a clipping reference position for the panoramic expansion image; an object detection unit that detects an object as a display target from the panoramic expansion image; a clipping position determination unit that determines a clipping position of the panoramic image according to a relationship between a detected object position and the clipping reference position; and a display image generation unit that displays the panoramic image clipped from the panoramic expansion image at the clipping position.

    • Provided is an image display device and an image display method, in which a rotation change of the cutout images each including the moving object is suppressed when the omnidirectional camera tracks the moving object that passes nearly under the omnidirectional camera, and also the cutout images flips vertically when the moving object passes under the omnidirectional camera, whereby easily viewable image display is always enabled.
      A subsequent position is predicted based on a current position of the moving object, and coordinates of the predicted moving position are transformed into coordinates on a real space plane, and a rotating speed in the image direction is calculated based on the coordinates on the real space plane. If a highest rotating speed of the calculated rotating speeds is equal to or larger than a given threshold value, a cutout parameter for setting the upward direction of the cutout images is corrected, and the images including the moving object are cut out of the omnidirectional image using the corrected cutout parameter, and displayed. In other words, the rotating speed is adjusted when the images including the moving object are cut out of the omnidirectional image.
