    • An injection timing device is proposed for internal combustion engines, by means of which the mutual rotary position of the output shaft with respect to the input shaft can be varied in dependence on the speed and on at least one further operating parameter. The timing device comprises flyweights, operating in dependence on the speed against the force of resetting springs, and hydraulically operated control elements which engage the flyweights, these control elements, which are effective radially toward the outside, being accommodated within the timing element. By changing the position of the control elements, the radial position of the flyweights, which otherwise is determined only by centrifugal force, can be additionally varied in dependence on at least one further operating parameter of the engine, preferably the load, in order to correct the instant of injection.

    • An apparatus for the rpm-dependent adjustment of the timing of an injection pump for internal combustion engines (shaft-type injection adjuster), in which a rotationally driven primary part is connected in a rotationally coupled manner with a secondary part but with the rotational angle between them being variable. The connection is effected via an axially displaceable sliding sheath, which is positively connected via at least one of the parts via a bevel gear and simultaneously acts as an adjusting piston. The working face of this adjusting piston is supplied with a control pressure by a centrifugal force control piston supported in a separate transverse bore in the primary part, either directly or with the intermediacy of an additional control piston, with respect to which then the adjusting piston effecting the coupling between the driving part and the driven part is embodied as a followup piston. A central, inner shaft, which is supported in the driving part and driven part, assumes the function both of guiding the adjusting piston and the control piston disposed in the interior thereof and of supplying the pressure medium.

    • A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines employing continuous fuel injection into an induction tube. The system includes a regulator which maintains constant fuel pressure upstream of a fuel metering and distribution valve assembly which has individual metering apertures for each injection valve of the engine. A control slide determines the effective cross-section of these metering apertures. The pressure gradient across the metering apertures is held constant by fuel injection valves constructed as flat-seat valves whose movable valve closing member is attached to and guided by a diaphragm. Fuel delivered by the metering and distribution valve tends to open the flat seat valve, permitting fuel to flow through the valve orifice. This opening force is opposed by a single helical control spring, or by a single helical control spring augmented by ambient air pressure. The valve closing member may be provided with a central bore. In that case, an air stream is caused to flow through the central bore under the influence of the pressure differential between the ambient air pressure and the induction tube pressure. This air stream aids in the atomization of the injected fuel.
