    • A method of manufacturing an image forming apparatus having a plurality of electron-emitting members, with row direction wires and column direction wires, in a matrix, and a dielectric layer between the row and column wires. A resist precursor layer is formed by imparting and drying a first photosensitive paste. A second precursor layer is formed by imparting a second photosensitive paste onto the first precursor layer, and by drying the second paste. A precursor pattern is formed by exposing a layered product of the first layer and the second layer through a mask. The exposed layered product is developed, and the dielectric layer is formed by baking the precursor pattern. A shrinkage ratio of the second layer after the baking to the second layer before the baking is larger than a shrinkage ratio of the first layer after the baking to the first layer before the baking.

    • A method of manufacturing a thick dielectric pattern disposed on a substrate. A first precursor layer is formed by imparting a first photosensitive dielectric paste, including a dielectric material, onto a substrate and drying it. A second precursor layer is formed by imparting a second photosensitive dielectric paste, including a dielectric material higher in softening point than the dielectric material included in the first photosensitive dielectric paste, on the first precursor layer and drying it. Precursor patterns are formed by collectively exposing and developing the layered products of the first precursor layer and the second precursor layer through the mask of a predetermined pattern, and a thick dielectric pattern is formed by collectively baking the precursor patterns.

    • The solid state image sensor of this invention includes multiple units, each of which includes first and second photosensitive cells 2a, 2b and a dispersive element 1a facing the first cell 2a. The element 1a passes a part of incoming light with a first color component to the second cell 2b. The first cell 2a receives a smaller quantity of light with the first color component than that of the light with the first color component incident on the dispersive element. The second cell 2b receives a greater quantity of light with the first color component than that of the light with the first color component incident on the dispersive element. The quantity of that part of the incoming light with the first color component is calculated based on the difference between photoelectrically converted signals supplied from the first and second cells 2a and 2b and information representing the ratio of the quantity of the light with the first color component received by the second cell to that of the part of the incoming light with the first color component.
