    • PURPOSE:To enable to perform a binary-coded operation even if an output voltage level fluctuates, by a method wherein a threshold is caused to fluctuate following a photoelectrically converted output voltage level. CONSTITUTION:A medium 10 passes between a luminous diode 201 and a collecting transistor 202, and does not pass between a luminous diode 203 and a collecting transistor 202, A200 is a threshold signal which is photoelectrically converted by photo sensor circuits 203 and 204 and enters a comparator 207, and S202 is a binary-coded output signal of the comparator 207. A photosensor identical to the photo sensors 201 and 202 is aligned in series to the luminous diode 201, and is positioned so that, if a fluctuation occurs, the fluctuation exerts the same function on the photo sensors 203 and 204. This causes fluctuating of a threshold (an usual resistance 206 is selected to 1/2-1/3 of a 205) detected by 203, 204, and 205 systems to automatically decide so that it maintains a constant margin against VH'-VL', and allows to obtain a stable and reliable output 202B.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a recognition for only the effective coordinate data as a subject of extraction of features, by extracting the phenomenon peculiar to the sweep-up by calculating the brush point speed with every sampling point and then eliminating the sweep-up on a character pattern. CONSTITUTION:An input coordinates S1 is stored in a coordinate memory 1, and at the same time the brush point speed is calculated by a distance calculator 2 and with every sampling point. A section dividing point detector 3 detects the point where the brush point speed changes to a level higher or lower than a certain value and makes a section dividing point register memory 4 store the address corresponding to the divided points on the memory 1. A section length calculator 5 calculates the length of each section and stores it in a register 6. A decider 7 reads the length of the brush point movement section and the length of an adjacent section within the same stroke as the said movement section and then compares these lengths with each other when a coincidence is obtained between the end point of the brush point movement section and the stroke end point. In case the length of the movement section is shorter than a certain value, the length is decided as a undesired data caused by a sweep-up to be defined as an ineffective information.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the stable and reliable drive of an automatic transformer by always supplying the motor driving AC voltage for the transformer from the secondary side of a stable transformer. CONSTITUTION:A motor drive circuit of an automatic transformer contains a slide transformer 1 and a control circuit 2. When the AC voltage is supplied to said motor drive circuit, the output voltage value detected by a voltage detecting transformer 3 is compared with the reference voltage. Then the slid of the secondary side contact is controlled via a motor 4 so that the difference between said two voltage values is set at 0. Here a switch 20 consisting of the contact of a relay 21, and a terminal 23 of the switch 20 is connected to a terminal 13 of a motor 4 for supply of the driving AC voltage. The relay 21 is set in parallel to an output terminal 6 with a fixed output voltage level of the automatic transformer defined as the drive voltage for actuation of the relay 21. Then the relay 21 is broken as long as the secondary contact of the transformer 1 is set at a position where the output voltage value is kept at a fixed level. Thus terminals 23 and 25 are connected to each other. While terminals 23 and 24 are connected when the AC input voltage has a drop, and the revolutions of the motor 4 are started.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the rate of discrimination by dividing strokes, constituting a character, into elements features approximation and by discriminating the character by combinations of the appearance orde of those element features. CONSTITUTION:Coordinate position information written in memory circuit 700 is read by three points each at a time and processed by direction-quantitizing circuit 701 and distance calculating circuit 702, whose output direction-quantitized value and distance value are inputted to multiplying circuit 703 to calculate the quantity of variation. The distance value is stored in memory circuit 705 and also inputted to adding circuit 706 to calculate the overall length, and it is further inputted to averaging circuit 707 to find the average of distance values. The quantity of variation is stored in memory circuit 704 and also compared with a constant value by comparator 708. On the basis of those quantity of variation, distance value, etc., whether each stroke is straight or curved is judged. Then, the shape of curvature of a segment connecting coordinate points in each stroke is approximated correspondingly to the predetermined shape of elements feature to extract the element features. Those extracted element features are combined in the order of appearance to extract character features.

    • PURPOSE:To recognize characters economically and functionally, by extracting the form of each character and features based on the stroke order by analysis of the stroke motion of the character entered on the paper on the entry panel and by discriminating the entered character by these features. CONSTITUTION:Control part 403 counts the number of elemental features of respective strokes and stores them temporarily; and if the number of elemental features is >=3, control part 410 is started by the control line of S416, and S414 and S415 of switch 405 are controlled to be output to S417 and S418. Control part 410 receives the operation start to control memory 406 by S426, and memory contents are read partially, and the mode of combination of unifying processings is decided by mode decider 407. Start and end point coordinates of a new elemental feature code subjected to unifying processings are stored in memory 406. When all unifying processings are completed, the elemental feature code is read out from memory 406 by S420 to calculate identification features. Thus, since generation of identification features becomes easy and the memory capacity for identification features is reduced, the economical effect is obtained.
