摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition for molten asphalt which masks an odor emanating from an asphalt melting kettle used for application of asphalt for waterproofing in construction and civil engineering works by its aroma to reduce the odor, and to provide a method for reducing the odor of molten asphalt using the composition.
SOLUTION: The deodorant composition for molten asphalt comprises a perfume and a substrate for retaining the perfume. In the deodorant composition, the substrate retains the perfume to prevent blocking to easily maintain the granular shape. A particle size of the substrate within a specific range can ensure good handling of the deodorant composition in use. The composition excellent in the masking effect can be produced by using a selected perfume in an amount of 30 mass% or more relative to the total mass of the deodorant composition.
