    • PURPOSE:To mold a sheetlike item that has desired depressions free from strain, by irradiating desired sections of a film or sheet, which is made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin capable of being crosslinked by the irradiation with an electron beam, with an electron beam thereby crosslinking the irradiated sections. CONSTITUTION:Band steels having a width of 20mm, a thickness of 5mm are arranged longitudinally on a low-density polyethylene sheet that has been expanded 1.8 times and has a thickness of 3mm, and the sheet is irradiated with an electron beam with an irradiation voltage of 750kV in an amount of 30Mrad. Then this electron partially irradiated sheet is heated for about 1min at 190 deg.C and is stretched laterally immediately followed by standing to cool. Only unirradiated sections 2' of the obtained sheet have been stretched 1.5 times and the unstretched sections 1 and the unstretched sections 2' form a striped pattern.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for interior excellent in quality of appearance, wear resistance and flame retardancy and usable as a carpet with biodegradability.
      SOLUTION: A sheet for interior 1 having a fiber surface obtained by needle punching comprises a first layer 2 of a needle punched nonwoven fabric comprising biodegradable aliphatic polyester based fibers and first biodegradable heat-weldable fibers having melting point lower than the melting point of the aliphatic polyester based fibers and 5-50% by mass of the mixing rate of the first heat-weldable fiber, and a second layer 3 of a needle punched nonwoven fabric comprising biodegradable organic flame retardant fibers and second heat-weldable fibers having melting point lower than the melting point of the aliphatic polyester based fibers and 5-50% by mass of the mixing rate of the second heat-weldable fibers, wherein the aliphatic polyester based fibers are heat-welded by the first heat-weldable fibers and the flame retardant fibers are heat-welded by the second heat-weldable fibers.
