    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a column/beam joint which effectively transmits stresses from the beam web to the column in the joint of a steel-frame column and an H-steel-frame beam, and prevents the breakdown of flanges and buckling of the joint as practicably as possible.
      SOLUTION: This invention concerns the structure of an H-steel-frame column/beam joint for H-steel beam and column. Horizontal stiffeners in pairs are provided on the column surface at positions corresponding to the beam flanges. The beam web is extended, protruding to the column surface. The end surfaces of horizontal stiffeners in pairs and the beam flanges are butt welded respectively. The upper and lower ends of the beam web are weld to the pair of horizontal stiffeners respectively. The preconditions shall be that the weld part of the web to the horizontal stiffeners is not be broken down by the load shared by the web in the total plastic moment of the weld part of the beam.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint construction method for a steel-pipe column, in which the abutting end sections of the two steel pipe columns can be welded and jointed easily and efficiently in the two steel-pipe columns. SOLUTION: Plates 16 with joints, fixed to and projected from the inner circumferential surface of one steel-pipe column 10 are positioned inside the other steel-pipe column 12 and both steel-pipe columns are abutted, bolts 30 inserted from the insertion holes 22 of the other steel-pipe column are fixed and temporarily jointed to bolt fixing sections 20 for the plates with the joints, and a section between the abutting end sections 14 is welded. At least a pair of the plates with the joints are mounted, so as to face oppositely and are paired; the end sections of both steel-pipe columns are abutted mutually, long bolts are penetrated into through-holes formed to a pair of the plates with the joints and the other steel-pipe column respectively and screwed and jointed temporarily with nuts; and the section between the abutting end sections is welded. The front-end outer edge sections of the plates with the joints are positioned on the side inner than the inner peripheries of the steel-pipe columns.
