摘要： A thermal head has a heat storage layer provided on an insulating substrate and a heat generating resistance layer provided on the heat storage layer. An individual electrode and a common electrode are formed on the heat generating resistance layer, and a protective film layer covers the electrodes and the heat generating resistance layer. A resin covering layer is formed on the surface of the protective film layer by applying and drying fluorine-based resin particles dissolved in a solvent on the surface.

摘要： To improve print quality, a plurality of heating resistors (14) are arranged with spaces therebetween on a heat storage layer (13) laminated on a surface of a supporting substrate (11) via an adhesive layer (12) made of an elastic material. A cavity portion (19) is formed at a region between the supporting substrate (11) and the heat storage layer (13), the region being opposed to a heat generating portion of each of the plurality of heating resistors (14). The elastic material constituting the adhesive layer (12) is arranged so that the elastic material is in a bonded state with respect to at least a part of a surface of the heat storage layer (13) opposed to the cavity portion (19).

摘要： When first print information is input, a print length thereof is calculated so as to calculate a length of a double-sided printed material 1 to be finally produced. Then, print information blocks 2 to be printed on a back surface of the recording medium is selected. The print information blocks 2 are selected according to a priority thereof, and a single print information block 2 to be selected last is selected, based on the length of the double-sided printed material, so that all the margins have the same length within a predetermined allowable range when the selected print information blocks 2 are sequentially arranged to be printed on the back surface. After the second print information is thus determined, the first print information is printed on the front surface of the recording medium and is cut by a cutter unit, and then the second print information is printed on the back surface thereof.

The bonding step causes the bonded surfaces between the insulating substrate and the heat accumulating layer to adhere to each other to bond the insulating substrate and the heat accumulating layer. The resistor forming step includes forming a heating resistor at a position on the heat accumulating layer. The position is opposed to the concave portion. The concave portion forming step further includes processing an inner surface of the concave portion on a side of the insulating substrate to have surface roughness Ra of 0.2 μm or more.

Accordingly, heat accumulation in a gas of the hollow portion (17) can be suppressed to improve printing quality.

摘要： A heating resistor element component has supporting substrate with a concave portion formed in a surface of the supporting substrate. A glass substrate is disposed on the surface of the supporting substrate. At least a region of the glass substrate opposite to the concave portion of the support substrate has a heterogeneous phase structure with physical properties different from those of the material of the glass substrate such that an overall mechanical strength of the glass substrate is increased. The heterogeneous phase structure is formed by laser processing using a phemtosecond laser having a power intensity of 1×106 W to 1×108 W. Heating resistors are arranged at intervals on the glass substrate and have heating portions disposed opposite to the concave portion of the supporting substrate. A common wire is connected to one end of each of the heating resistors. Individual wires are each connected to another end of each of the heating resistors.
