The contact sleeve is located to enclose in the section the dielectric while being enclosed by the shield. The contact sleeve is mechanically linked with the jacket of the coaxial cable by an extrusion coating so that the extrusion coating serves to relieve the strain on the contact area of the subsection with the shield.
