摘要： A flash apparatus which allows flashlight photographing of various subjects in a photographing screen in appropriate exposure by simple operation without failure. The flash apparatus comprises a flashlight emitting section having a predetermined irradiation angle with respect to a light emission optical axis, and irradiating direction changing means for automatically changing the direction of the light emission optical axis of the flashlight emitting section in response to subject information such as distribution information of brightness values of or distances to subjects in a photographing screen. Also a camera is disclosed which assures photographing of a main subject with appropriate exposure even when the main subject is in a backlighted condition or when another body is positioned nearer to the camera than the main subject.

摘要： A photographic camera which assures proper use of a front converter and prevents out-of-focus photographing when the front converter is used and wherein a switch for detecting whether a tele-converter is in its operative position or inoperative position is not exposed outside the camera. The switch is provided in a converter body removably mounted on a camera body and is connected in series to another switch also provided in the camera body for operation upon attachment of the converter body to the camera. When the converter is mounted in its operative position on the camera body, it is detected by a control circuit in the camera body in accordance with a signal received from the switches, and the control circuit controls various functions of the camera in a different manner from that when the converter is not in its operative position.

The objective block includes a focusing screen for forming the first object image and relay optics for transmitting the first object image. An eyepiece block receives the second object image and includes a reflecting member and an eyepiece through which the second object image is observed. The eyepiece block is sealed and the second object image is realized within the sealed eyepiece block.

摘要： A camera having, in addition to a real focal length photographing mode, a pseudo focal length photographing mode, namely, a photographing mode in which a part of a photographed image frame of a film is printed at an enlarging ratio different from an ordinary enlarging ratio to obtain a print as if it had been photographed using a telephoto lens. It is provided with means for recording photographing mode information on a frame of a film when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected, and a control means which brings a flash light emitting device into an operable condition in response to the selection of the pseudo focal length photographing mode and which actuates the flash light emitting device in synchronism with release of the shutter. An optical axis of a photographing lens and a flash emission tube are spaced from each other, and the pseudo focal length photographing mode can be selected only when a negative film is loaded in the camera.

摘要： A camera capable of identifying photographing conditions causative of red-eye effect making the eyes of human pictures in a flash-photographed picture come out red, and recording the identified photographing conditions in an external memory provided on a film cartridge loaded thereon. The camera recognizes the possibility of occurrence of red-eye effect on the basis of the focal length of the camera lens, the object distance, the distance between the optical axis of the camera lens and the light source of the flash light device and the object brightness. When the photographing conditions are identified to be causative of red-eye effect, a warning is displayed and flash photographing is forbidden. When photographing operation is carried out under photographing conditions liable to cause red-eye effect, information about the exposed film including the photographing conditions is recorded in the external memory to enable the subsequent developing and printing processes to correct the photograph with reference to the information.
