    • A disk changer includes a plurality of carriages having a disk on each carriage, a tray accommodating the plurality of carriages, the tray being reciprocated between a disk take-out position and a disk accommodating position, a recording and reproducing unit for driving a disk at a disk driving position for recording data thereon and reproducing data therefrom, a disk setting mechanism for displacing the disk when the disk is at a driving position from a disk loading level to a disk non-loading level and vice versa, a carriage lifting mechanism for vertically moving the carriage, which is at the disk accommodating position, between the lowermost level thereof and a level above the lowermost level, and for vertically moving the carriage between the non-loading level and a level above the non-loading level, and a carriage moving mechanism for moving the carriage to a space formed at one of the disk accommodating position and the disk driving position in association with an operation of the carriage lifting mechanism.

    • An electronic-part surface mounting apparatus includes an S-Z shaft vertically movable with respect to the mounted surface of a printed circuit board on which mounted parts such as electronic parts are mounted, and rotatable in a plane parallel to the mounted surface; an arm member revolving around the S-Z shaft; a plural number of Z-shafts, supported by the arm member, being vertically movable with respect to the mounted surface; cam unit revolving around the Z-shafts to cause the Z-shafts to individually move in a reciprocating manner; attraction/mounting unit operating such that at a position where the Z-shafts come nearest to the mounted surface, the attraction/mounting unit releases the mounted part from its seizure by the absorption nozzle attached to the lower end of the Z-shaft and mounts the mounted part on the mounted surface. With one cycle of the cam unit, a plural number of Z shafts descend and ascend, so that the attracting and mounting work of the mounted part are successively carried out, thereby reducing their tact time.

    • A disk changer for a disk player capable of storing two disks and changing one of the disks while playing the other. The disk changer comprises a frame, a drawer moveable in an longitudinal direction between an eject and a stock position with respect to the frame, two carriages each for carrying a disk, two sliders for attaching the carriages to the drawer in a vertically displaced relationship and for exchanging the positions of the two carriages in the longitudinal direction between a front and a back portion of the drawer, and a disk playing part located in the back portion the frame, including a turntable and a lift mechanism for placing the disk carried by the carriage in the back portion of the drawer onto the turntable for playing. The ejecting movements of the drawer, the position exchanging movements of the sliders, and the lifting movements of the lift mechanism are synchronized and control by a single motor via a cam system. In a disk changing operation, the lift mechanism first moves a first disk from the turntable to the first carriage located in the back portion of the drawer; the two carriages then exchange positions within the drawer so that the first carriage is moved to the front portion of the drawer; the disk which is now located in the back portion of the drawer is placed onto the turntable; the drawer is then ejected, carrying the first disk in the front portion to be changed; and the drawer retreats back into the stock position after the disk is changed.
