    • The object of the invention is to resolve the above problems in the conventional technique. A main object of the invention is to provide an image display device and a information processing apparatus which can prevent the problem such as slanting or missing of images displayed on a screen.In order to achieve the object, the invention provides a image display device built into electronic apparatuses, the device including a laser beam source unit emitting laser beams of various colors; a light modulation element modulating the laser beams emitted from the laser beam source unit, based on video signals; a projecting optical system projecting the modulated laser beams formed by the light modulation element on a screen; a control portion controlling the laser beam source unit and the light modulation element; and a movable body provided to be drawn out of and inserted into the case of electronic apparatuses. The movable body includes at least a first unit having the projecting optical system and a second unit rotatably supporting the first unit through a hinge portion. The hinge portion is featured by rotating the first unit.

    • The present invention provides an image display apparatus that includes a case having an air inlet port and an exhaust port; a cooling air passage that is formed by connecting the air inlet port and the exhaust port; and an optical unit that is provided within the case. The optical unit includes a red color laser light source, a green color laser light source, and a blue color laser light source, and these laser light sources are positioned in the cooling air passage. Further, the image display apparatus has an air blower that cools the laser light sources of the respective colors by introducing air from the air inlet port and exhausting air from the exhaust port; and a lens that is provided on the light-emitting side of the laser light sources. The red color laser light source is positioned closer to an upstream side of the cooling air passage than the green color laser light source and the blue color laser light source. With this, the temperature of the red color laser light source apparatus is not increased by a long period of use, and thereby image quality deterioration is prevented.

    • It is a main object of the invention to provide an image display device and an information processing device that can be incorporated in the computer main body of a notebook computer, etc., and can project an image at any desired angle when the image is projected onto a screen. To accomplish the object, the invention provides an image display device including a first unit for storing an optical system for displaying an image on a screen and a second unit for storing a control board for controlling the optical system, electrically connecting to the first unit, and holding the first unit for rotation. The first and second units are housed in a housing space formed in an information processing device. When the image is projected onto the screen, the first unit is completely exposed from the information processing device and at least a part of the second unit is stored in the information processing device. When the image is not projected onto the screen, the first unit and the second unit are stored in the information processing device.

    • Provided is an image display apparatus that has: a case distinguished into a plurality of regions and has a projection port; an image display apparatus main body that projects an image from the projection port; and a controller that electrically connects to the image display apparatus main body and to an external electronic device, and is positioned so as to straddle on the plurality of regions.
