    • In A computer system, the processing load for the computer to acquire fault information from the storage system is reduced. The computer system includes a computer, a first storage system configured to be communicable with the computer, and a second storage system configured to be communicable with the first storage system. The second storage system identifies the first storage system that is capable of communicating with the second storage system, detects fault occurring in the second storage system, and transmits fault information to the identified first storage system, the fault information being related to the detected fault. And the first storage system notifies the computer of the transmitted fault information.

    • A display device of the invention includes a display panel attached to one face side of a light transmissive circuit board and a light transmissive substrate attached to the other face side of the circuit board. A mounted component is mounted on the other face side of the circuit board. The circuit board includes a light transmissive junction layer for joining the circuit board to the light transmissive substrate at a position avoiding the mounted component. The junction layer includes a core substrate formed of a resin, an adhesive layer formed on one face of the core substrate, and a bonding layer formed on the other face of the core substrate and cured. The adhesive layer is adhered to the circuit board, and the bonding layer is firmly fixed to the light transmissive substrate.

    • A charged particle beam apparatus includes: a charged particle source which generates a charged particle beam to apply to a specimen having a microstructure formed on a surface thereof; an objective lens which excites at least one of an electric field and a magnetic field to converge the charged particle beam onto the specimen; a deflector which scans the specimen with the charged particle beam; a detector which detects at least one of a secondary charged particle, a reflection charged particle and a back scattering charged particle generated from the specimen and which outputs a detection signal; a focusing area arranging unit which arranges a plurality of focusing areas including edge points of the microstructure therein in a surface area of the specimen; a deflection controller which controls the deflector so that the focusing areas are sequentially scanned to correspond to excitation conditions while changing stepwise the excitation conditions of the objective lens; a focus calculator which calculates an index indicating a convergence state in each excitation condition on the basis of the detection signal and which calculates an optimum excitation condition providing an optimum focal position from the index; and an objective lens controller which drives the objective lens under the optimum excitation condition.

    • A DC adapter that can be housed in a battery housing portion of an electronic apparatus selectively with a primary and secondary battery. The DC adapter is connected to an AC/DC converter and is inserted into a battery housing portion of an electronic apparatus so as to supply the electronic apparatus with a DC power, wherein a substantially cylindrical adapter main body has an insertion limiting portion which is guided by an insertion guide portion of the battery housing portion when the DC adapter is inserted into the battery housing portion with the proper polarity, and comes into contact with the contact portion of the battery housing portion when the DC adapter is inserted into the battery housing portion with the reversed polarity so as to limit the insertion of the DC adapter. The insertion limiting portion is formed by projecting a part of the outer circumference of the cylindrical adapter main body in a rectangular manner along the longitudinal direction of the main body and has two sides each of which extends from a part of the outer circumference of the DC adapter. The center angle of the circular arc obtained by connecting the proximal ends of the two sides on the outer circumference of the DC adapter is less than 90°.
