    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test piece capable of preventing a substance blocking development of test substance or the like included in a test sample from being deposited on a water-absorbing base material, and detecting safely the test substance, and a detection method of the test substance using the test piece, concerning inspection by an immuno-chromatograph method.
      SOLUTION: In this immuno-chromatograph test piece formed by arranging a test sample acceptance part on the water-absorbing base material, a dropping pad for dropping the test sample and a filter are laminated and disposed on the water-absorbing base material. This detection method of the test substance is characterized by performing immuno-chromatography by using the immuno- chromatograph test piece.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a target nucleic acid, capable of rapidly and simply detecting presence of the target nucleic acid in a sample to be examined, compared with a conventional hybridization method and to provide a test piece for detection of the target nucleic acid suitable therefor and a kit for detection of the target nucleic acid. SOLUTION: The method for detecting the target nucleic acid by using a detection probe and a capturing probe which bind to the target nucleic acid, but have no binding property to each other comprises (a) a step for mixing a labeled complex having the detection probe and a signal reporter with a sample to be examined, (b) a step for introducing the mixture obtained by the step (a) onto a water-absorbing substrate having a stationary phase obtained by immobilizing the capturing probe through bond of a ligand to a ligand- binding compound, (c) a step for developing the mixture on the water-absorbing substrate under stringent conditions and (d) a step for detecting a signal from the signal reporter in the stationary phase. The test piece for detection of the target nucleic acid is composed of the water-absorbing substrate.
