      SOLUTION: In this vibration control device, two horizontal material 11 and 12 and two vertical materials 13 and 14 are joined to each other by means of a pin 10 so as to form a rectangular frame body; two diagonal members 15 and 15', the one-side ends of which are fixed near both side ends of the lower horizontal material, respectively, and the other-side ends of which are each elongated in the central direction of the frame body, are arranged; and a damper 17 is mounted between an undersurface of a central portion of the upper horizontal material 11 and a top surface of a diagonal member retainer material 16 wherein the other-side ends of the two diagonal members are fixed to both ends, respectively. The damper is composed of lightweight shape steel; a plurality of holes 20 are continuously drilled along a longitudinal direction in the central portions of both flanges thereof; leading ends of both the flanges are inserted between flanges of the upper horizontal material, and attached to the flanges of the upper horizontal material by means of a drill screw 18; and an undersurface of a web is attached to an outer surface of a web of the diagonal member retainer material by means of a drill screw.
