    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that control accuracy of the amount of suction air may be deteriorated because the lift curves are varied according to the engine speed in a lift operation angle variable mechanism capable of changing the valve lift amount and the operation angle of the suction air valve continuously and at the same time.
      SOLUTION: The operation angle target value of the suction air valve is calculated according to a target suction air amount calculated based on required torque (S11-S13). Upon calculating an operation angle command value, the operation target value is corrected according to the engine speed (S14). The operation angle command value is outputted to an actuator, and the lift operation angle variable mechanism is controlled (S15).
