    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper that can prevent the occurrence of an excessive large air quantity in a natural ventilation system.
      SOLUTION: This excessive air quantity preventing damper 1 is formed of a frame member 2 connected to a duct (a) and a main blade 3, an auxiliary blade 5, etc., which can rotate in the duct (a). When a favorable wind blows, the auxiliary blade 5 rotates in the direction in which the quantity of the air passing through the duct (a) increases and, at the same time, the main blade 3 receives a dynamic lift and rotates in the direction in which the quantity of the air passing through the duct (a) decreases as the quantity of the air flowing in the duct (a) increases. When the quantity of the air flowing in the duct (a) becomes excessively large, first and second wind receiving sections 3a and 3b formed on the main blade 3 receive air pressures and the main blade 3 rotates to a position where the blade 3 makes the quantity of the air passing through the duct (a) almost zero. Consequently, the occurrence of the excessively large air quantity in the duct (a) is prevented.

      SOLUTION: The ventilation system comprises an air supply duct (f) formed to communicate with a dwelling unit (e) out of a building and an exhaust duct (g) formed to communicate with the void space (f) from the unit (e) in a multi- story building having the void spaces (b). In this system, the duct (f) has an air flow rate regulating damper 1 for regulating an air flow rate. The duct (g) has an air flow rate regulating/air backflow preventive damper 11 for regulating the air flow rate and preventing the air from back flowing. When the wind A is operated at the building (a), an air flow directed from outside of the building toward the void space (b) side is induced by a rising air flow B generated in the void space (b), and further since the air flow rate is regulated, good ventilation can be executed at the building (a).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation system in which a relatively low story building can be ventilated sufficiently by natural ventilation.
      SOLUTION: In a low story building, a supply air duct is formed to extend from the side part of the building into the building, an exhaust duct is formed upward from the inside of the building and an exhaust opening is provided at the upper end part. The supply air duct is provided with a damper for regulating the air flow rate and preventing backflow of air. The exhaust opening is provided with a damper for preventing backflow from the inside of the building toward the outside of the exhaust opening. Since the exhaust duct is formed upward, stack effect generating an updraft in the exhaust duct is enhanced and since an air flow is induced in the direction from the inside of the exhaust opening toward the outside thereof on the leeward side by wind passing through the vicinity of the exhaust opening, sufficient ventilation of the building is ensured.

      SOLUTION: The pressure loss damper 1 is formed of a frame member 2 connected to the duct (a), a main vane 3 and an auxiliary vane 5, which are pivotal in the duct (a), an airflow receiving unit 7, provided on the auxiliary vane 5 and operated so as to be pivoted into a direction that the auxiliary vane 5 is pivoted into a direction for increasing an air volume passing through the duct (a), and the like. Upon normal airflow, the auxiliary vane 5 is pivoted into a direction that the air volume passing through the duct (a) is increased and in accordance with the increase of the air volume which flows into the duct (a), the main vane 3 receives a lift and is pivoted into a direction that the air volume, passing through the duct (a), is decreased. In this case, the auxiliary vane 5 is pivoted by the airflow receiving unit 7 even in a case wherein the air volume is small, whereby the pressure loss in the duct (a) is reduced.
