    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously and efficiently producing alkyl jasmonate with epimer concentration of 20% or more from alkyl jasmonate with low epimer concentration.
      SOLUTION: A series of processes including the following processes are continuously carried out: (iv) a distillation purification process wherein alkyl jasmonate with low epimer concentration is distilled to be divided into a fraction with epimer concentration of 10% or more and a fraction with epimer concentration of less than 10%; (i) an isomerization process wherein the fraction of alkyl jasmonate with epimer concentration of less than 10% is used as a material and isomerization reaction is carried out to increase the epimer concentration to 10% or more; (ii) a concentration distillation process wherein the product obtained in the isomerization process (i) is distilled and concentrated to increase the epimer concentration to 20% or more; and (iii) a thin-film distillation process wherein thin-film distillation treatment is applied to a crude fraction having high epimer concentration obtained in the concentration distillation process (ii) and a fraction containing high-boiling point impurity is continuously eliminated.
