    • PURPOSE:To reduce the connection work to once between the test terminal and a cable to be measured by arranging a switching circuit adapted to enable the setting of the connection state between a plurality of test terminal and a plurality of measuring devices and the final end state of circuits at each test terminal. CONSTITUTION:Pairs to be measured (M1-Mm) of a cable 8 to be measured are connected to test terminals (CH1-CHm) of a transmission/reception scanner 9. Here, the terminal of the cable is terminated with a final end resistance R. These test terminals each have three relay circuits (SR1-m, SRS1-Sm, SRr1-rm). By operating the relay circuits of the transmission/reception scanner 9, an induction circuit is set with any one terminal ready for transmission while another terminal ready for reception. Here, all the other terminals are made terminated. Under such a condition, a cross talk noise level is measured with a receiver 4 and compared with the reception level of a receiver 3 to determine a near-end cross talk attenuation value.

    • PURPOSE:To measure exactly and rationally an induced voltage from one end of a cable to be measured, by constituting a titled device in such a way that resistors can be selectively changed over and connected between the connection terminal and grounding terminal to be connected to said cable. CONSTITUTION:A switch S1 is set at an Ra side and a measurement is carried out with a voltmeter. The switch S is then set at an Rb side and the measurement is carried out with the voltmeter. If the values in this stage are designated respectively as V1, V2, a cable length l can be determined by calculation from the measured results V1, V2 of the voltage and resistors Ra, Rb. When the cable length l is determined, the ratio between the voltage V(l) at the left end of the cable and the voltage V(o) at the right end of the cable is determined; therefore, the respective voltages of V(o) and V(l) can be determined. Even if the two resistors Ra and Rb are alternated, if the voltage ratio thereof is roughly 1, the V(o) and V(l) are both roughly equal because the cable length is about >=3Km. The cable length is thus known by changing over the two resistors Ra and Rb and measuring the voltages and the voltage at both terminals of the cable is consequently known.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the storage density of a core wire connecting part of an optical fiber, and a surplus length core wire, and to maintain a good transmission characteristic by laminating a surplus processing sheet provided with a bend part by turning upward two opposed sides of a rectangular plastic sheet and bending them plural times, and a sheet of a structure whose side length is different from said sheet.
CONSTITUTION: In a flat part and a bend part 10 of surplus length processing sheets 9a, 9b, a core wire connecting part 6 is placed in the vicinity of a sheet wall 12, and between upper and lower surplus length core wires 5a, 5b, a plastic 11 is inserted, and also the surplus length processing sheet 9a whose side face is short, and the surplus length processing sheet 9b whose side face is long are superposed alternately, by which the titled structue is constituted. In this way, the storage position of the core wire connecting part 6 is dispersed upward and downward, therefore, a height of the whole storage structure can be compressed by an empty weight of each surplus length processing part or a load from the upper part, and the storage density of the optical fiber core wire connecting part can be raised. Accordingly, the core wire is not pinched in the sheet, therefore, a good transmission characteristic can be maintained.
