    • PURPOSE:To improve productivity of casting slab by inserting a core, which is penetrated through combined mold connected with an intermediate vessel, keeping a molten metal to pour in the intermediate vessel and also drawing the casting slab together with the core in a body, while vibrating the mold. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate vessel 2 is arranged at above the mold 1 and an insulating ring 3 is inserted between both. A positioning guide 6 is arranged in the vessel 2, and the core 5 is penetrated through the guide 6, and a core enclosing ring 7 is arranged at near the molten metal surface position in the vessel 2. Non-active gas is blowed on a boundary surface between the core 5 and the molten metal from a pipe 8, while pouring the molten metal, so as to keep the molten metal surface at a position of the core enclosing ring 7. Next, a casting is executed by drawing the slab 9 and the core 5 at the same time, while vibrating the mold 1 and the vessel 2 at vertical direction. As friction between the slab 9 and the mold 1 is reduced, casting speed is quickened. Therefore, productivity of the slab 9 is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable feeding of powder at a constant rate and uniform displaying thereof into a mold with a small amt. of a carrier gas with a method for spraying the powder pneumatically by adopting the form of suspended transportation. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a tank 1 is pressurized and a stop valve 3 is repeatedly opened and closed at set timings. Powder is approximately filled in a storage tank 43 by one time of said opening. The powder is discharged through a discharge port 47 and is dispersed by a conical-shaped projecting part 45, by which the powder is dropped in a dispersed state through plural through-holes 46. The powder in the mid-way of falling is forcibly fed in a feed pipe 5 by the pressure gas ejected from an injector 7A. The powder is fed in the pipe 5 in a suspended state. If the pipe is long and the pressure drop in the pipe is large, the powder in the pipe 5 is additionally fed by an injector 7B. The powder is accelerated and transported in suspension while the powder is enclosed and dispersed in the air flow having a suction effect in the feed direction in the injector 7. The powder is thus uniformly sprayed in a casting mold 10.
