      SOLUTION: The control device is provided for the spark ignition type cylinder injection internal combustion engine which has a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber 18, the used fuel injection valve being a variable injection property fuel injection valve 20 having changeable injection property such as a spray form, spray penetrating force or an injection rate. It comprises an injection property changing control means for changing the injection property of the variable injection property fuel injection valve, and an injection dividing control means for dividing the fuel injection from the variable injection property fuel injection valve into a plurality of injection periods in a range from an intake stroke to a compression stroke.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness of operation of a piston, in a fuel injection valve opened/closed by operating the piston to change pressure in a control pressure chamber.
      SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve 100, the piston 5 is operated by an actuator to change the capacity of the control pressure chamber 10, and change the pressure in the control pressure chamber 10 to open/close the injection valve. The control pressure chamber 10 is constituted of an inner wall face which is formed in a body 12 of the fuel injection valve housing the piston 5 and an end face of the piston 5. In the control pressure chamber 10, a seal member 9 in a shape of a belleville spring is disposed to abut on the inner wall surface and the end face of the piston 5.
