    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a substantially integrated sulfur-containing joined article excellent in acid resistance and water barrier properties, capable of easily joining sulfur-containing segments to each other in a short time, enabling the recycling of an electric heating means at the time of joining and facilitating the flattening or homogenization of a joined part. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the sulfur-containing joined article includes a process (A) for preparing a plurality of the sulfur-containing segments wherein the end part shape containing each of the joining surfaces of the segments is molded so as to form a groove wherein a part of the outer edge of each of the joining surfaces is present at a lower part when the joining surfaces of the segments are closely bonded, a process (B) for closely bonding and fixing the joining surfaces of the segments to form the grooves, a process (C) for heating and melting at least a part of the outer edges of the closely bonded joining surfaces including the grooves, a process (D) for supplying a molten sulfur-containing material to the grooves, a process (E) for leveling the molten matter of the process (C) and the material of the process (D) and a process (F) for cooling and solidifying the heated and melted parts. The heating and melting of the process (C) is performed using a hot air blowing type heating means separated from the outer edge parts of the segments to heat the outer edge parts.
