    • PURPOSE: To increase the heat exchanging efficiency of the titled heat exchanger by making the transfer of heat easy by filling the gaps between fins and a tube with heat transferrable pulverized powder being mixed with setting agent, in a heat exchanger in which a plurality of fins and a tube which piercing through the holes of fins are bonded in a body by a tube expanding work.
      CONSTITUTION: When this heat exchanger is applied to a radiator for a car, a tube 1 of aluminum alloy is inserted and fixed in the holes 2a of a plurality of fins 2 made of aluminum material. The inner diameter of the hole 2a of a fin 2 is 0.3W0.4mm larger than the outer diameter of a tube 1 before being fixed in the hole. The tube 1 is expanded by piercing a tube-expanding tool through the tube 1 after it is inserted into the holes 2a, and it is fixed in the holes 2a of fins 2 by contacting it to a collar 2b which is provided to the inner perimeter of holes 2a. Before the tube 1 is inserted into the holes 2a of fins 2, a mixture of pulverized powder of scaly aluminum, an adhesive and solvent ethyle cellosolve are coated about T=0.1μm thick on the external surface 5 of a tube 1 as a heat transferrable pulverized powder.

    • PURPOSE:To improve durability of an adhesive by preventing cooling water from penetrating into the adhesive, by covering a core plate and the tops of tubes unitarily with a sealing material, in a heat exchanger used as the radiator of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:Many sheets of plate fin 1 are laminated, and a pair of core plates 2 are installed on both sides of the fins, when a radiator is assembled. A core part is composed by inserting tubes 3 in the core plate in the state that the fitting holes 1a of plate fins 1 and barring holes 2a of a core plate are accorded with each other. Then an adhesive 4 is put between the barring holes 2a and the tubes 3, and the outer surface of the adhesive 4 is covered with a sealing material 13. Sealing rings 15 are put on the holding channel 2b of a core plate 2, interposed by the sealing material 13, and a tank 6 is fixed on the upper surface of sealing rings 15. After that the claw parts of a core plate 2 are caulked to the flange parts 16 of a tank 6, and the sealing rings 15 are deformed by depressing pressure being applied to the parts. Because the sealing material 13 can also cover the end surfaces 3a of tubes 3, cooling water will not get into the side of an adhesive 4.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the workability and the strength of the heat exchanger by a method wherein in case an aluminum core plate of a hot water radiator for a car heater and a resin tank are connected together, an electrolytic corrosion preventive member is interposed between the resin tank and the core plate and both of the core plate and the resin tank are fixedly connected with a supporting iron plate. CONSTITUTION:The supporting iron plate 8 having an aluminum plated layer 8a is fitted on the outer edge 5b of the core plate 5 and the outer side of the shoulder 7 on the end surface of the resin tank 3 and a tooth-like projection 8b is formed in the direction shown by the arrow. As a result, the resin tank 3 is connected airtight to the outer edge 5b of the core plate 5 through a resilient sealing member 6. With the above structure, it is made possible to protect the heat exchanger against the electrolytic corrosion and to improve the strength and the workability of the heat exchanger since the aluminum plated layer 8a is inpterposed between the core plate 5 and the supporting plate 8.
