摘要： A method, apparatus, and system for improved VA-TIRFM microscopy. The method comprises automatically controlled calibration of one or more laser sources by precise control of presentation of each laser relative a sample for small incremental changes of incident angle over a range of critical TIR angles. The calibration then allows precise scanning of the sample for any of those calibrated angles for higher and more accurate resolution, and better reconstruction of the scans for super resolution reconstruction of the sample. Optionally the system can be controlled for incident angles of the excitation laser at sub-critical angles for pseudo TIRFM. Optionally both above-critical angle and sub critical angle measurements can be accomplished with the same system.

摘要： A reciprocating low-speed heavy-load hydraulic pump with a variable action area comprises a plurality of hydraulic cylinder units (3) and moving members (1, 2). Two ends of the hydraulic cylinder units (3) are separately connected with the moving members (1, 2) via mechanical structures. The moving members (1, 2) move relative to each other. The hydraulic cylinder unit (3) consists of a hydraulic cylinder (4), a reversing valve (5) and a one-way valve (6). The hydraulic cylinder (4), the reversing valve (5) and the one-way valve (6) are connected with each other via hydraulic pipelines. Based on different magnitudes of driving force, the hydraulic pump can proactively configure and form different combinations of hydraulic cylinder units, and further adjust the size of an equivalent action area. Therefore, even if the magnitude of the driving force changes, it can be ensured that the hydraulic pump consisting of hydraulic cylinder units outputs oil liquid with a relatively stable pressure for use by a subsequently connected system. The reciprocating low-speed heavy-load hydraulic pump with a variable action area is advantageous in high conversion efficiency, a simple system structure and good working stability.

The methods and articles may involve the use of nucleic acid containers as structural molds. For instance, a pre-designed nucleic acid container including a cavity may be used to control the shape-specific growth of nanoparticles. Growth of the nanoparticles within the cavities may be confined by the specific shape of the nucleic acid container. In some embodiments, the resulting nucleic acid-nanoparticle structures can be used to control the orientation and numbers of surface ligands on the surface of nanoparticles. The addressability of the surface ligands can be used to form higher ordered assemblies of the structures.

Thus, live attenuated Y. pseudotuberculosis-based vaccines can be used to prevent Yersinosis in farm animals such as swine, cattle and sheep. The palatable baits containing live attenuated Y. pseudotuberculosis-based vaccines may be acceptable methods to control plague epidemics in wild animals. The methods disclosed can also be used to generate recombinant attenuated Y. entercolitica and Y. pestis vaccine strains.
