    • An apparatus for effecting non-contact linear door displacement comprising a tubular motor formed of a stator (1) formed from a plurality of magnets (21) arranged along a linear axis (15), and at least one thrust block (3) each formed of at least one electrically conductive coil encircling the stator (1) at a distance sufficient to facilitate electro-mechanical interaction between the plurality of coils and the stator (1), at least one door (5) attached to at least one of the plurality of thrust blocks (3) via a hanger (9) and the at least one door (5) capable of a movement in the direction of the linear axis (15), a rolling component (11) to enable movement of the hanger (9) in the direction of the linear axis (15), and a control mechanism (70) for sensing the position of each of the at least one door (5) and issuing an electrical control signal to each of the plurality of thrust blocks (3) so as to affect the movement of the at least one door (5).

    • An adjustable door strike includes a mounting bracket (10) and an adjustable strike (12) mounted to a doorframe (26) that allows for the position of the strike (12) to be adjusted such that it is aligned with latch and/or deadbolt mounted on a door. The mounting bracket (10) includes a first mounting aperture (14(a), a second mounting aperture (14b) and a rectangular opening (16) located between the first mounting aperture (14a) and the second mounting aperture (14b). The adjustable strike (12) includes a first slotted aperture (18a) located on a first edge of the adjustable strike (12), a second slotted aperture (18b) located on a second edge opposite the first edge of the adjustable strike (12), and a latch opening (22). The adjustable strike (12) is secured between a doorframe (26) and the mounting bracket (10) by a first screw (28a) mounted through the first mounting aperture (14a), through the first slotted aperture (18a) and into the doorframe (26) and by a second screw (28b) mounted through the second mounting aperture (14b), through the second slotted aperture (18b) and into the doorframe (26). The position of the adjustable strike (12) can be adjusted in the region defined by the first and second slotted apertures (18a, 18b). Having positioned the adjustable strike (12) to align with a latch and/or deadbolt, the screws (28a, 28b) are tightened, thereby clamping the adjustable strike (12) between the doorframe (26) and the mounting bracket (10).
