    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing a biosoluble inorganic fiber having a small fiber diameter.SOLUTION: The method for producing an inorganic fiber includes the steps of: producing a molten liquid having a melt viscosity of 15 poise or less by heating and melting an inorganic raw material including 70 wt.% or more of silica and 10-30 wt.% of magnesia and calcia in a container; supplying the molten liquid to a rotor that rotates at an acceleration of 70 km/sor more; forming fibers by drawing the molten liquid with a centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the rotor; blowing air around the rotor to flow away the formed fibers; collecting the fibers and producing fibers having an average fiber diameter of 5 μm or less.
