    • PURPOSE:To make a support device compact, by enabling the independent and wide adjustment of three adjusting mechanisms for load, height and inclination angle and utilizing the space between the control mechanisms to pile them up. CONSTITUTION:The second frame 4 is supported with the first link mechanism 3 on the first frame 2 so that the second frame 4 can be vertically moved. A load adjusting mechanism 44, which is interlocked with the first link mechanism 3 and acts to adjust a vertical elastic force applied to the second frame 4, is provided in the space between the first and the second frames 2, 4. The third frame 63 is supported with the second link mechanism 62 on the second frame 4. A height adjusting mechanism 61 for the third frame 63 as to the second frame 4 is provided in the space between the second and the third frames 4, 63. The fourth frame 94 is supported over the third frame 63 so that the fourth frame 94 can be inclined. An inclination adjusting mechanism 93 for the fourth frame 94 as to the third frame 63 is provided in the space at the outside of the top of the height adjusting mechanism 61. The space is thus efficiently utilized to provide a compact support device which can be adjusted in a wide range.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop return of load up to a specified load and reduce the load so as not to exceed the specified load by adjusting the shape and inclination of the inclined face of a groove and providing a load limiter mechanism allowing relative movement in a reverse direction to the extent of maintaining load when reverse moving load of a member exceeds the specified value. SOLUTION: A nonreturn device is composed of an outer race 25 fixed to a center shaft, an inner race 26 fixed to an arm, rollers 28 received in grooves 27 formed at the inner race 26, and a spring 29 for energizing the roller 28 in each groove 27, and provided with a load limiter mechanism. The groove 27 is formed by the wall surface and an inclined face gradually inclined from the wall surface. In association with the rotation of the inner race 26, load is gradually increased, and even in case of force being applied to rotate the inner race 26 in the direction of an arrow mark, load become constant, and impact is absorbed to gradually pull out a buckle. A seat belt is therefore prevented from becoming loose after the disappearance of combustion gas pressure so as to prevent load from being imposed on an occupant.
