摘要： A direct injection spark ignition internal combustion engine including a controller that controls a fuel injector to perform a plurality of fuel injections to inject a necessary amount of fuel during an intake stroke, or from an intake stroke to a first half of a compression stroke, when homogeneous combustion is to be performed. The fuel injection control sets an injection prohibition period, in which injection of the fuel is prohibited, to a middle of the intake stroke. The injection prohibition period is decreased as the engine speed and as the intake air pressure increase. In addition, the amount of fuel injected before the injection prohibition period is reduced, and the amount of fuel injected after the injection prohibition period is increased, as the engine speed decreases.

摘要： A direct cylinder injection-type spark ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine comprises a spark plug, a cavity formed in the top surface of a piston, and a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into the cavity in nearly the shape of a fan having a relatively small thickness. When the fuel injected in nearly the shape of a fan from the fuel injection valve is considered by being divided into a plurality of fuel segments in a radial direction, a side wall of the cavity has a first fuel deflection passage 82a and a second fuel deflection passage 82b for so deflecting at least two of the plurality of fuel segments as to pass near the spark plug. The side wall of the cavity is at least partly provided with a return portion 83 that protrudes toward the inside of the cavity. The first fuel deflection passage is not provided with the return portion 83 or is provided with the return portion having a short protrusion, and the second fuel deflection passage is provided with the return portion 83 having a long protrusion.

摘要： An internal combustion engine includes a low-pressure fuel feed system that feeds low-pressure fuel pressurized by a feed pump to first delivery pipes through a low-pressure fuel feed pipe, first injectors capable of injecting the low-pressure fuel into intake ports, a high-pressure fuel feed system that feeds high-pressure fuel pressurized by a high-pressure pump to second delivery pipes through a high-pressure fuel feed pipe, and second injectors capable of injecting the high-pressure fuel into combustion chambers. A bypass passage communicates the first delivery pipe with the second delivery pipe, and a check valve is provided in the bypass pipe for preventing flow of the fuel from the second delivery pipe to the first delivery pipe. Thus, transmission of fuel pressure pulsation caused by driving of the high-pressure pump is effectively restricted, so that an appropriate amount of fuel can be supplied to the engine for improved control of the air/fuel ratio.
