    • PURPOSE:To slide both scroll members smoothly and stably by rotatably inserting a drive pin which is provided at one end of a main shaft so that the eccentric distance from a main shaft center of the drive pin can be bigger than both of the eccentric distance from a bush center and the radius in circular orbit movement of an eccentric hole. CONSTITUTION:When a movable scroll member 31 is given fluid compression due to circular orbit movement, corresponding reactive force operates on a scroll element 311, or a member 31, in a contact direction of the circular orbit. This force operates on the center OC of a bush 5a, like FD. As the bush 5a is allowed for free rotation on a drive pin 5b, it is subjected to moment for rotation around the center OD of the pin 5b due to force FO. That is, the member 31 which is supported on the bush 5a is subjected to moment for rotation around the center OD of the pin 5b so that the scroll element 311 is pressed against a scroll element 301. Pressing force at the line-contact portion of both scroll elements 311, 301 is thus automatically gained to ensure the seal of a fluid pocket.

    • PURPOSE:To enable execution of smooth slide contact between scroll members by a method wherein first and second thrust bearings are located between the upper and the under surface of a counter weight and between the end surface of the boss of a moving scroll member and the inner end surface of a housing, and a spacer is located to a joint between the plate body of a fixed scroll member and a housing. CONSTITUTION:Thrust bearings 51 and 52 are located between the two end surfaces of a counter weight 13 of a main shaft 5 and between the end surface of a boss 310a and the inner end surface of a housing 2, and a space 54 is disposed between the end surface of an annular part 300e of the outer periphery of a fixed scroll member 30 and the end surface of the housing 2. By receiving twist moment and the reaction force of gas compression by means of the thrust bearings 51 and 52, a moving scroll member 31 is prevented from a deviation. A relief valve 55 escapes a refrigerant to the delivery pressure chamber 57 side when a pressure in a fluid pocket exceeds a given value, and decreases the abnormal loads of the thrust bearings 51 and 52. The spacer 54 properly selects thickness during assembly of a compressor and simplifies axial positioning of the fixed scroll member 30. This constitution enables provision of high efficiency and an increased life.

CONSTITUTION:First and second bearings 51 and 52 are located between the upper and under surfaces of a counter weight 13 of a main shaft 15 and between the end surface of a boss 310a and the inner end surface of a housing 2 of the bottom wall of an intermediate pressure chamber 9. A moving scroll member is prevented from a deviation by mechanically receiving twist moment and the reaction force of gas compression by means of thrust bearings 51 and 52 and a contact slide part between the moving and the fixed scroll member. When the reaction force of gas compression is increased after the starting of a compressor, high pressure gas in a delivery pressure chamber 57 produces an intermediate pressure through an orifice 300b, the intermediate pressure is guided to an intermediate pressure chamber 9. The moving scroll member 31 is pressed against the fixed scroll member 30 side to reduce the loads of the thrust bearings 51 and 52. This constitution provides high efficiency and an increased life.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a hot water storage type water heater capable of rapidly obtaining warm water by constituting a space formed between adjacent shape memory members in such a manner that the space is closed when spirals contract and opened when spirals expand. CONSTITUTION:Spirals 17 and 18 made of shape memory members which contract on the high temperature side and expand on the low temperature side, each are constituted of a shape memory alloy wire 21 and a wide high-temperature resisting, water resisting resin tape 22. Contracting parts of the spiral function similarly as a warming suction conduit tube 14 and a warming return conduit tube 15, whereas opened part 23 of expanding parts function as suction ports 24 of the warming suction conduit tube 14 and return ports 25 of the warming return conduit tube 15. When the set temperature is 55 deg.C, the shape memory alloy 21 of the warming return tube 15 having a martensite transformation temperature of 55 deg.C is used but the shape memory alloy 21 of the warming suction conduit tube 14 is preferably lower by about 10 deg.C than the previous case. Even when the interface level is raised close to the upper surface due to the excessive use of warm water, so long as the hot water supply thereafter is limited within the scope of the heating ability of an external heating device 16, it is possible to continuously derive warm water of more than the set temperature from a hot water conduit tube 13.

CONSTITUTION:An Oldham's ring 10 for suppressing the rotation of a movable scroll has a pair of first projections 10b which extend in parallel to the shorter diameter X at the point symmetrical position with respect to the center O, in the vicinity of the shorter diameter X on one surface of the ring 10a having an elliptical form or a flat plate shape, and a pair of second projection 10c which extends in parallel to the longer diameter Y at the point symmetrical position with respect to the center O, in the vicinity of the longer diameter Y on the other surface of the ring 10a. The projection 10b is fitted in a slidable manner with the first keyway formed on the plate body of the movable scroll, and the projection 10c is fitted in a slidable manner to the second keyway formed on a housing. Accordingly, the area of the slide contact surface between the side surface of the keyway and the side surface of the projection can be made larger than that in the conventional structure, and the ring can be made small-sized by the reduction of the outside diameter dimension of the Oldham's ring 10.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent excessive wear and enhance the durability by furnishing an anti-abrasive member at either or both of the peripheral edge of one surface of a plate of a movable scroll member and the shaft end face of peripheral wall of a stationary scroll member. CONSTITUTION:A scroll type compressor is equipped with a movable scroll member 1 provided with No.1 convolutional member 3 at one surface of No.1 plate 2 and a stationary scroll member 10 having No.2 convolutional member 12 at one surface of No.2 plate 11, wherein the stationary scroll 10 has a peripheral wall 13 surrounding the convolutional member 12 at the peripheral edge of one surface of said No.2 convolutional member 12. The peripheral edge of said surface of No.1 plate 2 is in slide contact with the shaft end face of this peripheral wall 13 formed at the No.2 plate 11. Ring-shaped anti-abrasive members 30, 31 are embedded in the shaft end face of this peripheral wall 13 and the peripheral edge of the No.1 plate 2 in order to prevent excessive wear of these sliding parts. This should enhance the durability of the scroll type compressor.
