The gas expansion unit (150) comprises a gas gate (151) and the trigger (145, 140, 170) comprises a trigger member (170) and a swellable portion (140) comprising sponge material, wherein wetting of the sponge material causes swelling of the sponge material thereby causing relative movement between the gas expansion unit (150) and the trigger member (170) to open the gas gate (151). Pressurized gas flows from them to the actuation chamber (118) thereby exerting load on the separator (160) for expelling the drug substance.

摘要： The swallowable capsule device (10) comprises a capsule housing (12), a drug outlet (14) arranged relative to the capsule housing (12), a drug reservoir (16) configured to accommodate a drug substance (23) in use, and a needleless jet injector assembly. The needleless jet injector assembly includes a jet injector (22) and an actuator. The jet injector (22) has a plurality of jet nozzles (24) and the actuator is configured to actuate under predetermined conditions to expel the drug substance (23) in use from the drug reservoir out through the drug outlet (14) via the jet nozzles (24) to form a jet stream. Each jet nozzle (24) is configured to expel a separate collimated jet stream (28) having a peak jetting power of 1 W or below, and the plurality of jet nozzles (24) are arranged in a cluster so that the separate collimated jet streams (24) in combination form a contiguous jet stream (20) that is configured to be expelled towards the lumen wall.

The base member and the actuation member define a latch assembly comprising: a) a dissolvable firing member (160, 260, 360), the dissolvable firing member being at least partially dissolvable when subjected to a biological fluid, b) a retainer portion (113, 213, 313) comprised by one of the base member and the actuation member, and c) a movable latch (152, 252, 352) configured for lateral movement relative to the axis, the movable latch defining a first surface with a blocking portion (153, 253, 353), and a second surface (152a, 252a, 352a) configured for interacting with the dissolvable firing member (160, 260, 360). In a pre-firing configuration, the blocking portion (153, 253, 353) of the movable latch engages the retainer portion (113, 213, 313) in a latching engagement, and the second surface (152a, 252a, 352a) of the movable latch interacts with the dissolvable firing member to restrict lateral movement of the movable latch thereby preventing release of the latching engagement. In a firing configuration where the dissolvable firing member (160, 260) has become at least partially dissolved, the movable latch is allowed to move laterally thereby releasing the latching engagement.
