摘要： A photo converter converts light passed through an exposed film into digital image data, the converter producing a digital image of an area larger than the exposed film. An image processor then divides the digital image data into actual image data and peripheral image data corresponding to a region around the exposed film image. A print image generator produces a print image of the actual image data. A print image generator produces a print image of the actual image data. To deal with situations where the peripheral image data is difficult to distinguish, e.g. a photograph of a firework display at night where there is little difference between the dark image background and the dark, unexposed peripheral image data, the image may be displayed on a monitor for a human operator to make the decisions.
