Specifically, embodiments have been provided for a network element (e.g., eNB, RNC) of the first communication network (e.g., RAN) to obtain information about the second communication network (e.g., WLAN), especially performance information of a plurality of network access elements (e.g., WLAN APs), in order to support offloading to the second communication network. The transmission of the information is implemented via a network manager or an element manager of the first communication network without additional assisting network elements.
