摘要： The present invention addresses apparatuses, methods and computer program product for enabling support of legacy user equipment and legacy network elements in small cell system for LTE and beyond systems. Each small cell uses a unique pair of Physical Cell Identifier and E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier {PCI, ECGI} in the small cell system. In a handover preparation phase, when an enhanced eNB initiates the handover request procedure, the source eNB includes the pair of {PCI, ECGI} in the handover request message. Upon the reception of the {PCI, ECGI} from the handover request message, the associated eNB determines the target small cell based on the received pair of {PCI, ECGI}.

摘要： A method of assigning a unique identifier to a mobile station in a communications network is provided. The method includes generating a temporary identifier for the mobile station in a source network node upon the mobile station accessing the network via the source network node, passing the temporary identifier to a control node and updating the temporary identifier to the mobile station as a mobile station identifier, looking up the temporary identifier in a database, adding the temporary identifier to the database as a unique identifier if the temporary identifier is not contained in the database and generating a new unique identifier, and if the temporary identifier is already contained in the database, passing the new unique identifier to the source network node and updating the new unique identifier to the mobile station as said mobile station identifier if the new unique identifier has a different value to the temporary identifier.

摘要： A core network receives in an uplink message a first list of closed subscriber groups (CSGs) located within one gateway domain to which mobility is possible for a user equipment UE. The core network creates a third list by checking the first list received in the uplink message against a second list which is the UE's allowed CSG list, and sends the third list downlink to at least one of a serving gateway of the UE or a serving access node of the UE. In one embodiment the first list consists of all CSGs within a domain of the respective serving gateway/access node; and in another embodiment it consists of all neighbor closed subscriber group cells of the respective serving gateway/access node which sent the uplink message to the core network. In different embodiments the third list is a whitelist or a blacklist.
