    • An apparatus, method, system and computer program product provide control channel coordination in heterogeneous networks. Parameter are provided indicating the availability of resources, wherein a resource is defined as an available radio frequency per time interval, and parameter indicating the configuration of a physical channel configured for downlink control, for a physical control channel configured for format indication, and for a physical channel configured for hybrid automatic repeat request indication, respectively, for use in both of two different communication cells for providing radio communication services for terminals located in said cells. Further, a first resource allocation set and a second resource allocation set are determined, wherein the first resource allocation set and the second resource allocation set respectively comprise resource allocations for a physical channel configured for downlink control, for a physical control channel configured for format indication, and for a physical channel configured for hybrid automatic repeat request indication, and wherein the determining means is configured to determine the first resource allocation set and the second resource allocation set to be as mutually disjoint in resource allocation as possible in consideration of the parameters provided by the parameter provision means.

    • A first method includes determining if a sum of the transmit powers of individual component carriers is less than a maximum user equipment transmit power, adjusting the transmit power of one or more of the component carriers if the sum of the transmit powers of the individual component carriers is not less than the maximum user equipment transmit power, and transmitting the component carriers to a network access node. A second method includes identifying a component carrier with minimum transmit power and a component carrier with a maximum transmit power, calculating a power difference, determining if the power difference is greater than a predetermined maximum power difference and, if it is, increasing the transmit power of the component carrier with minimum transmit power by a first amount and decreasing the transmit power of the component carrier with the maximum transmit power by a second amount.
