摘要： An emergency telephone call is supported and routed to a Public Safety Answering Point (PAP) in an IP based packet Switched wireless communications network. An activate PDP context request is sent from a user equipment to the network. A parameter in said activate PDP context request indicates that the PDP context will be used to transfer an emergency call. An activate PDP context accept message is returned from said support node to said user equipment. Said activate PDP context accept message acknowledges said activate PDP context request message and provides the address of a call state control function. A call setup request transferred to the call state control function includes the Service Area Identity (SAI). The call state control function selects a PSAP based, at least in part, on the SAI included in the call setup request and forwards the emergency call to the selected PSAP.

摘要： A communication system, method and server for the collection, storage and use of information associated with user equipment to provide user equipment status even when user equipment has multimedia connections handled by different and independent servers. The communication system comprises communication means for providing communication media for a plurality of user equipment MS1, MS2, MS3, MS4, a storage entity 21 adapted to store information that associates with at least one of the user equipment and at least one service provision entity 28 adapted to serve a client based on information stored in the storage entity. The storage entity 21 is arranged to receive information associated with the user equipment from other entities 22, 23 and to associate said received information with a respective user equipment. For example, control entity 22 informs status server 21 of existing call between MS1 and MS2 and when MS4 requests status information on MS2 from presence server entity 28, entity 28 requests this information from status server 21 which replies with a busy indication. The information may be dynamic and may relate to location, busy or available call status, on-line or off line status or information on non-communication sessions such as a video streaming connection. Applications in GPRS, EDGE, 3G, UMTS, i-phone, JMT-2000, TETRA, any Internet Engineering Task Force defined system, LAN, WLAN, cable networks, xDSL based networks, GSM or any other network based on dial-up networking.
